This role is a hybrid role, 2 days a week minimum in our office in Dublin 4. This is a full time permanent role.
Role Description
The Accounts Analyst role is to ensure the accuracy of the financial information for CurrencyFair entities.
Key Responsibilities
Manage accurate and timely accounting journals, bank recs and controls along with balance sheet reconciliations at month end for review process. Ensure reconciling items are followed up and managed within expected timelines.
Prepare Payroll journal entries and settlement of net salary, taxes, and benefits & deductions in a timely manner.
Allocate and reconcile banking transactions for multiple operational accounts ensuring accuracy and reaching out to the business for appropriate audit backup.
Assist with the preparation of tax returns, including VAT, Payroll Taxes, and others, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
Manage inter-company reconciliation process monthly to ensure alignment & accuracy across the group.
Assist with the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports for management, board of directors, and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and standards.
Assist with the audit process for the CurrencyFair Group during interim and at the year-end auditing time.
Work closely with the finance team, and other departments, on various ad hoc projects and general day-to-day operations

Qualifications and Skills Required
Subject matter knowledge and experience
Demonstrable experience in a similar finance role, ideally within a Fintech or Technology company.
Newly/part-qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) accountant.
An understanding of Payroll and aligned qualification is a bonus but not necessary.
Experience in participating in financial audits and working with external auditors.
Familiarity with tax laws and regulations
Strong understanding of internal controls
Ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate it effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
Knowledge of financial systems and software used for financial reporting and compliance.
