This role is a hybrid role, 2 days a week minimum in our office in Dublin 4. This is a full time permanent role.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Legal in delivering timely legal advice across a broad range of in-house matters, with a primary focus on CurrencyFair Ltd (CFL) and the Group’s Irish legal entities.


  • Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements including customer contracts, referral agreements, vendor/supplier agreements, NDAs, and other standard documentation.

  • Assist with legal support on small and mid-sized business (SMB) engagements, including tailoring of contractual terms and client onboarding queries.


  • Collaborate with external legal counsel as required on specific matters (e.g. litigation, regulatory applications, disputes).


  • Provide legal support for board and shareholder matters across the Group, including preparation of resolutions, coordination of filings, and documentation of approvals.

  • Support corporate governance initiatives (e.g. new entity incorporations, director appointments, regulatory notifications), particularly as part of the Group’s SC Ventures reporting obligations.


  • Respond to time-sensitive legal queries from business units across the Group.


  • Track and help implement legal risk controls, internal policies, and template updates.

  • Support regulatory engagement and compliance with outsourcing, data protection, and licensing frameworks.


  • Assist the Group General Counsel in managing legal operations, including document retention, legal records, and tooling.

  • Work alongside the company secretarial function on governance documentation (e.g. resolutions, board packs) as needed.


  • Collaborate with the co-sec team to support legal aspects of board and shareholder approvals, regulatory notifications, and entity compliance.


  • Understand and support the Group’s Delegated Authority framework, and the governance implications of corporate actions.


Subject matter knowledge and experience

  • Qualified solicitor or barrister (Ireland or another common law jurisdiction).

  • 0–2 years’ Post Qualified Experience, ideally with experience in commercial contracts or financial services.

  • Ability to manage routine legal matters independently with appropriate supervision.

  • Familiarity with contract negotiation, regulatory frameworks, and corporate governance.

  • Understanding of legal risks and privilege in an in-house environment.
