The role

Are you an experienced Senior Financial Accountant looking to join an expanding global team? You will have extensive experience in a variety of financial tasks, including accounting, financial analysis, and reporting. As a key member of our finance team, you will work closely with other members of the team to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations and standards, and provide support for the company's financial operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the Group Financial Controller and the CFO in the delivery of timely and accurate financial information.

Manage monthly financials including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow.

Manage accurate and timely accounting journals, bank recs and controls along with balance sheet reconciliations at month-end.

Ensure reconciling items are followed up and managed within expected timelines. 

Ensure financial records are organised and filed in line with the agreed process across the group.

Management of the payroll process, liaising with HR and outsourced service provider to ensure accurate and timely payroll payments

Provide an analytical interpretation and commentary on monthly financials, budgets & forecasts.

Assisting auditors’ inquiries during the interim and at the year-end auditing time. 

Supporting the development of integrated financial processes and business systems that support financial activities including migration to new ERP system in due course.

Meeting all regional financial and risk compliance requirements in respect of taxes; risk management; internal/external audits; funding acquittals, insurance and regulatory arrangements.

Mentoring junior members of the finance team.

Supporting Group Financial Controller and the CFO with ah hoc tasks and projects.

 

The Person

Bachelor's or equivalent majoring in Commerce/Finance 

Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with a minimum of 3–5-year PQE, with some experience in the Fintech or financial services sector.

Strong quantitative abilities

Able to solve complex problems.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships

Strong influencing and interpersonal skills with a can-do attitude

High level of commercial acumen

Exceptional organisational and time management skills and ability to work under pressure - due to the international time zones - flexible availability at times will be required

Experience in model creation and platform migration would be a bonus

Advanced computer software skills, including writing macros in Excel and other accounting packages
