The Role
Reporting to the Email Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of email initiatives for acquisition and customer retention. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience with all aspects of email, from content planning and creation to working with advanced marketing technology software.
- Working closely with the Email Marketing Manager on the creation and execution of email campaigns and CRM activities across both B2C and B2B functions of the business.
- End-to-end management of email campaigns: collaborating with stakeholders, planning, building, delivery and reporting.
- Ownership of the CurrencyFair newsletters - an important driver of email engagement and content promotion.
- Reviewing and optimising existing CRM activities such as customer journeys.
- Supporting our operational teams with customer communications.
- Analysis and reporting: using insights for multi-variant testing to improve email marketing performance over time.
- Audience and data management - understanding the data model and creating audience segmentation for targeting.
- Researching and implementing email technologies such as new platform features, messaging formats, dynamic content and AMP.
- Management and maintenance of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform - this will be learned with experience and through training.
The Person
- At least two years experience in a similar role - either as an email specialist or with email being an essential element of your current position.
- Knowledge of and experience using an ESP.
- You have built digital assets using a CMS or marketing platform - e.g. emails, websites, landing pages, or display ads.
- Some coding will be needed for this role. The following will be used: Easy to medium-level HTML and CSS. Basic SQL be used for reporting and queries. Emails contain a Salesforce-specific language based on Javascript.
- Comfortable running reports within platforms or previous experience with reporting tools like Google Analytics. Interpreting high-level email metrics for reporting purposes.
- Understanding of relational databases and data models.
- CSV data is used regularly to combine and compare data. Experience with Excel or a similar tool would be required.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud would be highly desirable.
- Relevant Third level qualification in marketing or equivalent.
- You have run marketing campaigns from planning and building to delivery and reporting.
- Experience writing copy and content for marketing assets.
- Hands-on experience with marketing or automation platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo, SendGrid or Mailchimp.
- An eye for design would be an advantage - creating mock-ups and wireframes and translating them into production emails.
